Faith and Tradition Are Part of the Arrangements from the Beginning

Sacred Journey Funeral Directors was created to offer thoughtful, culturally aware funeral care while remaining open and welcoming to every family.

Jasse and her team of funeral professionals understand that customs surrounding death, preparation, prayer, family involvement, cremation and burial can be deeply important. We take time to understand what your family needs and will work with your chosen priest, granthi, pandit, gurdwara, mandir, place of worship or community contact wherever appropriate.

Arrangements Built Around What Matters to Your Family

Our particular experience is with Sikh and Hindu funerals, while Sacred Journey remains a funeral home for people of all faiths, cultures and beliefs.

Sikh Funerals

We can support families with funeral arrangements that respect Sikh beliefs and family traditions, while recognising that practices can differ between families and gurdwaras.

  • Family involvement in preparation where requested
  • Coordination with your chosen gurdwara and granthi
  • Guidance around cremation timings and the funeral cortege
  • Time and privacy for prayer, reflection and family customs

Our approach

Tradition Is Never an Afterthought

“The funeral should reflect the person, the family and the traditions they hold close.”
Common questions

Funeral Arrangements Explained Clearly

Some of the questions families ask when they first contact Sacred Journey.

What should I do when someone dies?
The first steps depend on where the death happened and whether it was expected. Call us on 01922 438503 at any time and we will explain who needs to be contacted and when your loved one can be transferred into our care.
Do you only arrange Sikh and Hindu funerals?
No. Sacred Journey welcomes people of all faiths, cultures and beliefs. We have a particular focus on Sikh and Hindu funeral traditions, but every funeral is arranged around the individual family and their wishes.
Can family members be involved in washing or dressing our loved one?
Where requested and appropriate, we can discuss family participation in ritual washing and dressing. Dedicated facilities are available at our Willenhall funeral home and arrangements are made in advance with the Sacred Journey team.
Can you work with our gurdwara, mandir, granthi or pandit?
Yes. We are happy to coordinate with your chosen place of worship and religious representative so that timings, prayers, preparation and service arrangements can be planned properly.
Can your attended packages be used for burial as well as cremation?
Yes. Our attended funeral packages can be used for either cremation or burial. The relevant crematorium, cemetery, grave, place of worship and other third-party fees are added according to the arrangements chosen.
Can you help if someone needs to be repatriated?
Yes. We can help with the funeral director's part of the repatriation process, including care and preparation of your loved one and coordination of the required practical arrangements and documentation.
